Romantic Colors

Bonifacio High Street has recently been one of my favorite places since I am able to walk around with fresh air. Whenever I go there, I always feel like I am in another country. Well, at times the sun may be too hot but on a cloudy day, it’s the perfect place to walk. Sometimes, I even bring my dog, Peplum, with me and just walk for around for hours.

My outfit today reminds me of Valentines Day since I wore romantic colors of  red and old rose plus my top has lace details with a sweetheart neckline. I match my top with a pair of khaki shorts since I find shorts to be perfect for walking outdoors for manila weather (I have had bad experiences of skirts or dresses flying and pants being too hot).

As I was walking around with my friend, a particular store caught my attention- French Sole. One of the main reasons why I noticed this store is because of its products. Ballet flats are my favorite type of footwear since it’s stylish and comfortable (well some are). French Sole is a luxurious brand by Jane Winkworth. It started in London during 1989 and is now one of the most famous shoe brands around the world, known for its ballet shoes. I used to see this brand in Madison which is why I was quite surprised to see that French Sole has its own brick and mortar store at Bonifacio High Street.

such an adorable shop <3

After some window-shopping, my friend and I ate at Stella which is located at Bonifacio High Street Central. Stella is a wood fire bistro, which I would recommend to family or friends. As we entered, there weren’t any costumers yet but as time went by, people started coming in.  The staffs were also friendly and accommodating. My friend and I tried the Truffle pasta, Smoked Salmon and Black Caviar pizza and Pesto and Grilled Vegetables pizza. What I like about their pizzas is that you can mix two flavors of pizza into one to accommodate both persons’ taste. In my opinion, the Truffle pasta was just mediocre since it just had a very light taste of truffle. I would have preferred the truffle sauce to be stronger. However, I really liked the Smoked Salmon and Black Caviar Pizza since there was big chunk of smoked salmon on each slice and the thickness of the crust was just right.

Overall, Stella is a restaurant I would go back to for their Smoked

Sweetness with a Twist

Elegant. Classy. Sophisticated. These are the words I would use to describe LACE. Today, I felt like dressing up a bit but still feeling comfortable. What I love about this look is that it’s very feminine but with a vintage twist. As some of you may have noticed I am obsessed with Lace (I think 1/3 of my closet is full of lace) it is just so fun to match as it has endless possibilities.

Luxe Wear Collection

Late post from last week Saturday’s Philippine Fashion Week, 9:30 pm
show. The Luxe Wear Collection gets green from Cream Silk as the models,
wearing Jerome Salaya Ang dresses and gowns, walked down the runway along
with the tune of the orchestra. Jerome Salaya Ang’s collection started and ended
the show featuring the long, beautiful and strong Cream Silk hair of the models.

The Luxe Wear collection showcased fifteen talented Filipino designers namely
Jerome Salaya Ang, Chris Diaz, Delby Bragais, Lyle Ibanez, Martin Bautista,
Richard  Papa, Roland Lirio, Ronald Mendoza, Russell  Villafuerte,  Ronaldo
Arnaldo, Sidney Perez Sio, Simon Ariel Vasquez, Tina Danaic, Vania Romoff,
        Veejay Floresca and Yvonne Quisumbing.

I like that this particular show featured more designers compared to the
others as the time allotted for the show was the same so seeing more designs
of different designers had definitely more variety and was more entertaining.
I also like what they did with the entrance and exit of the show since the
Cream Silk models were walking down with a live orchestra and not just
any type of record. It gave a clear start and end of the whole show.

 My favorite pieces:

Chris Diaz
(This is so me!! pink, lace and flowers)

Richard Papa
(love the princess and lace look)

Martin Bautista
(even though this isn't really my style, I love how the cape flows)

Ronaldo Arnaldo
(This outfit makes me want to travel)

Veejay Floresca
(Don't really love the whole look but the really like the TOP!)

Vania Romoff
(My favorite look of the night! I would definitely wear this)

Other designs:

Russel Villafuerte

Ronaldo Arnaldo

Simon Ariel Vasquez

As for my outfit that night, I wanted to wear something appropriate for a night
event (mostly dark  colored clothes). However, I  still wanted to maintain my
personal style since I like light colored clothes  and  accessories. After  going
through   my  closet  I  finally  picked a  nude and  black  romper. I  matched
it with a  long strap black bag, black  high heels  and  PEARL  accessories <3

Philippine Fashion Week

Last week Friday was my first time to watch Philippine Fashion Week!

I always wondered what it was like to experience the runway live.
Luckily, I was able to watch this year's Spring Summer 2014
collection at SMX Convention Center in Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

The designers featured in last Friday’s 8:30 pm show were
Eric Delos Santos, Albert Andrada, Jerome Salaya Ang,
Junjun Cambe, Norman Norieg and Raoul Ramirez.

In my opinion, it was Marina Benipayo who stole the whole show since she owned the
runway! Each time she walked down the runway, everyone was captivated by her
gracefulness and elegance. She was the main model for Eric Delos
Santos as she opened and closed his collection.

Among all the designers, I loved Raoul Ramirez’ collection the most as
his last gown was GORGEOUS! I am sure every girl would feel like a
princess in that dress! It was also perfect to place that dress in the
finale because it definitely outshined all the gowns of the whole show.

Hopefully, I get to watch again next year with these lovely ladies!
